This was painted with my buddies from Central Ohio Plein Air just off Taggart road in Columbus. Actually, this piece was actually painted in-studio from a 5x7" study from that morning. I could barely see through the thick foliage to the water, but I was determined, so I kept shifting side to side to capture my view. I really should have found a way down to the bank, but it was really steep and I was chicken—afraid of falling and not being able to get back up to the road, also snakes (thanks Mom). Maybe next time I could bring a rope and a fireman?
