Zoo Reef.

My artists' painting group were painting "catch of the day" fish on plates for April's theme. Their artworks were pretty, but personally I couldn't get past the fact that I don't like eating fish, and seeing them dead on a plate seemed macabre to me. Visited Columbus Zoo and Aquarium for inspiration. I wondered why fish of the same kind have the tendency to loosely swim in the same direction. There were no predators to hide from in this aquarium. Is it the same reason people get into lines when there are other options? Everybody is thinking that if there's a group, there must be some reason for it. Sometimes the group is the reason. 36x36" or
